What provisions can you give your new pet upon coming home with you for the first time? If you’re bringing in a new puppy, be sure to have these dog supplies ready:

A dog crate: This is going to be his new home so you have to prepare it before bringing your new pet home. It has to be a comfortable one. Fill it in with cloth good enough to be his bedding. Put a basin where he can drink water from to satisfy his thirst. Be sure that the area inside the crate is always clean and not messy for him to live comfortably.

Interesting dog treats: Be prepared to give him treats as these are rewards given to a good dog. Teach him tricks and good behavior and then hand him his prize that would make him feel elated. Don’t disregard the fact that he has to eat his meals as these are very much needed for his health.

Give him dog toys: Dogs are playful pets. They tend to play a lot during their waking times. Balls and plastic bones are most popular among canines. They are easily attracted to interactive toys. Owners can use these as diversion tactics while they are away.

Dog Clothes: Other pet owners may opt for apparels for their dogs. This is just for show sometimes as they would want their dogs to look different from the rest of the pack. But during winter, where cold weather prevails, it is important that they are provided with sweaters to give warmth. Dog supplies like necklaces are also available in the market for those who are stylish enough.

Shampoo: Give your dog the best bath that he needs. Dogs have to stay clean every day. They have to be washed thoroughly so that fleas will stay away from them. When applying shampoo to the body, be sure to rub the scalp with your fingertips so that each strand would be free from flakes.

Dog carriers or strollers: Dog carriers and strollers are very interesting for them to ride on. It makes them feel that they are cuddled and whisked away from one place to another. There is a sense of belonging and they feel that they are well-loved and cared for.

Having these things can truly make a dog swoon over his master. Providing dog supplies would make him feel regal. This will make him want for your attention more; think of other things that he can give you when he passes the stage of being a puppy. He will be the one to stay on your side and bark at people who would pose danger towards you.
